Nothing better than sharing stories over a coffee or beer with Chuck. We'd love to hear about a moment you shared or memory you have. Drop a note, or upload a quick video. Thank you!

This was certainly heartbreaking news; however, we are so glad we got to reconnect this past three years when came to Deadwood. Visiting was so fun and the memories I (David) have with the Whitlock family go way back...at least 65 years. Chuck was older but admired as a cool guy and he always paid attention to the young cousins. We thought how cool to work at Dog 'n Suds! We are keeping you, Carol, and all your family, and Jim and Dave in our prayers.

What a privilege to have Chuck as a friend! He was one of the first people I met when I moved to Spearfish almost 50 years ago! Learned a ton about Spearfish in a short time! Loved our conversations, stories, laughs and more! I'm truly blessed having had him as a friend!

I have so many good memories of Chuck all of them make me so happy. He was so kind and giving to all of us. Thinking back to how many tournaments/games he drove us to in the Mark III, it is AMAZING that he never once told us to be quiet or settle down. We had to have been the most annoying/obnoxious teenagers and Chuck just let us be kids. So many miles, so much fun. Chuck’s kindness and patience didn’t end there. Somehow the basketball hoop always got fixed after one of us destroyed it. When you are a kid, you don’t realize how much work that takes. As an adult you realize the patience, kindness and love that Chuck gave is the reason we were always at the Whitlock house. I will forever be grateful to Chuck and Carol for opening up their home.
